Albert Wilde's Chemist is one of Fleetwood's longest established pharmacies. Over the years there have been significant changes to pharmacy and as a highly dedicated team we have had to alter our practices accordingly.
The pharmacy had operated from the corner of Beach Road for 45 years since the founder, Mr Albert Wilde, first opened its doors.
When Mr Wilde retired in March 1982 Mr Brian Fearn took over. Mr Fearn ran the shop for around 25 years and kept the traditional but high standard that Mr Wilde had, bringing it into the 21st century.
In May 2005 Mr Fearn retired after long service to the community and Miss Aisling O'Brien took over.
In May 2006 the business and 16 staff moved to a purpose built premises in West View Health Village which offers a brighter and improved service. The pharmaceutical side of the business continues its efficient prescription service, picking up prescriptions from doctors all over the area and delivering them free of charge to the patient's door.
We have three delivery vehicles that are serviced regularly and three full time drivers who provide the popular service.
